Biography:Nicknamed ‘the most well-known (yet still relatively unknown) mercenary of the 2070s’, Kolt Saudwell is a member of the Privateers organization, a group of ‘odd jobbers’ who are usually employed straight up as mercenaries or assassins, but also doctors, teachers, detectives, and back-scratchers on occasion. No sex work, though. His record for the past 7 years is extensive, having been known for toppling petty dictatorships and assassinating quite-hated politicians. His adoptive father, Dennis Saudwell, is known for defecting near the end of the Pointless War, carrying a nine year-old Kolt Saudwell in his arms as he crossed No Man’s Land, along with being the descendant of the first Fuhrer of the GSS, Hektor Saudwell. Kolt’s species, the Aldearians, are extremely endangered, and he frequently is subjected to random bouts of racism towards his species due to their effects on intergalactic politics, albeit without him realizing it.
He isn’t right in the head either, having been privately diagnosed with a mild form of autism, but his brain is an enigma even without the autism. He is an odd, weird man, and for him, things are about to get a whole lot weirder.

Only nine years of service and she already felt like a walking corpse.
Marshal Hillary Winter thought it would be easy to translate from military service to a nice law-enforcement job, but evidently, life had other plans for her. The Marshals were meant more as a not-so-secret secret police than anything, and her first few years were chaotic. She was in the middle of an intergalactic empire’s attempt at putting itself back together after a disastrous failure of a war, having to deal with terrorists, Marxist revolutionaries, and the odd local coup attempt. She thought that her re-assignment to guard duty, the ‘Blue Shift’, in 2074 would give her a break from the stresses of life as a Marshal, and it did.
